BUSINESS VISA

Who are eligible to apply:

A businessperson who wants to visit Bangladesh for the purpose of trade, commerce, and investment. Employment in Bangladesh paid or unpaid is prohibited for "B" visa holder.

Applicant needs to submit:

1. An invitation letter from the recognized business organization or a local sponsor from Bangladesh;
2. A letter from the company, who is sending the applicant to Bangladesh;
3. A copy of Trade License/Registration Paper or any Government issued Certificate in favor of the host organization.

Duration of visa:

A Business "B" Visa may be issued for a maximum of 1 (one) year with single/double/multiple entries. Please note that the duration of stay for each visit should be a maximum of 60 days.

Extension of visa:

If it is necessary to extend the duration of the visa, the Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) may extend the visa for a period of 3 (three) years with multiple entry, but the duration of stay not exceeding 6 (six) months on the basis of relevant certificates on his/her business, a tax payment certificate, if applicable. Local sponsor's recommendation and favorable police report are also required. However, if the applicant comes to Bangladesh frequently for business-related work and has a certificate stating that s/he has performed business/trade work in accordance with the prevailing regulations, the visa period can be extended up to 5 (five) years under the same conditions.
