EMPLOYMENT/WORK VISA

Who are eligible to apply:

There are 2-types of Visas, first one "E" for all kinds of special/ordinary job and work; other one "E-1" for technical, equipment, hardware, software etc. related expertise work. "FE" visa for family member(s) of "E" visa holder. Employment in Bangladesh paid or unpaid is prohibited for "FE" or "FE-1" family member of "E" or "E-1" visa holder.

The eligible person of this category of visa are:

a. An Expert/adviser/employee/individual who appointed in a government / semi-government / autonomous bodies / projects and equivalent organization in Bangladesh;

b. An Individual who employed in local/foreign government/semi-government/liaison/industrial/commercial organization or other equivalent organizations in Bangladesh;

c. Individuals appointed under local/foreign government/ semi-government contractor ship and in equivalent organization in Bangladesh;

d. An Individual who intends to do honorary work (with salary/voluntary) with Registered NGOs in Bangladesh;

e. Provide a document such as copies of marriage certificate for proofing of spouse or birth certificate for children.

1. A Letter from concern employer of Bangladesh mentioning the applicant's position in the organization;

2. Appointment letter and contract papers with full terms and conditions including salary details;

3. Recommendation letter from the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) or Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) or Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) or NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh.

Duration of visa:

An Employment or Work "E" Visa (for three months with a multiple entries and each duration of stay for as required) or "E1" Visa (for six months with a multiple entries and each duration of stay for maximum 30-days).

Extension of visa:

With reference to the local sponsor and police clearance certificate, visa could be extended from the “Department of Immigration and Passport” (DIP), Dhaka, Bangladesh up to three (03) years.
